Boeing 737—400 was extended for 3 meters, to 35,23 meters comparing to 737—300. Itwasmadefirstofalltomeettheneedsofchartercarriers.
In view of enlargement  the cabin dimension was necessary to remake the air-conditioning system and that became the basic difference of this aircraft from the other family. According to this remake there are two missing windows on each side, thanks to this fact the aircrafts – 400 are easy for distinguishing from other 737 Classic. The aircraft is also equipped with additional emergency exits on each wing (two on each side when —300 and —500 — has only one on each side) and fifth at the end, which prevents the distraction of the end part of fuselage in case of touching landing strip. These features of construction have become typical for the next “long” 737s (—800, —900).

 Boeing 737—300 — is the first and basic representative of the 737 Classic family, it’s extended for 3 meters, to 33,18 meters, comparing to —200. The first customer of this aircraft became American airlines US Airways and Southwest Airlines.

The first flight was made on the 24^th of February 1984. First serial machines were supplied to customers in autumn of that year.

It’s a family of wide-body passengers airliners for the airlines of long-range. The airliner is developed at the beginning of 1990^th, made the first flight in 1994, in service since 1995.

The airliners of  this kind can accommodate from305 up to 550 passengers, depending on configuration and cabin, and their flight range is from 9100 to 17 500 kilometers. On Boeing 777 is established the absolute record for passenger flights: 21 601 km.

Boeing 777 is the largest in the world twin-engine jet. Engines «General Electric» GE90, that are set on these jets are the largest reaction-propulsion units in the aviation history and they are the most powerful at all.
