Refund of the air ticket can be made only at the sales location where it was bought. The refund of overall air ticket cost (forced refund) issued due to any fare is permitted only in the following cases:
cancelation, transfer or delay of the flight;
cancelation of the landing at the port mentioned at the passenger’s ticket;
in case of non-guaranteeing of flight connection by the carrier;
replacement of the service class or the type of aircraft;
death of the passenger or member of the passenger’s family.
In the mentioned-above cases the airline’s representative is obliged to make a mark at the ticket, which will be the reason for overall cost refund to the passenger.
Refund of air ticket that was caused by the other circumstances is called voluntary refund and is made due to fare rules that were used for issuing the ticket. The overall refund for the ticket can be made only for the passengers that bought the tickets of first-class, business-class, normal economy fare and excursion economy fare.
Should be mentioned that for the most of discount fares the refund can’t be made at all or it should be made during the time limitation (usually from 7 days to 24 hours before departure).
